The boys, bows and a badger

Now that the race season is officially over I have time to do a few things I have been wanting to do for months.  Yesterday afternoon I took my boy and dad for a little fishing at Strawberry.

For anyone wondering, yes those are Eaglevision glasses my old man is wearing.

Here is Wilbur reeling in one of his 20 fish. On the way home, he landed another critter

That’s right, we road-killed a badger! I have never even seen a badger in the wild until last night. This is how it looked as we first approached it.  I thought it was just knocked out, and that it would attack at any minute.

Look at those claws!

  1. I bet that was one of the coolest days ever for him. My racing season is over as well. I have similar plans.

  2. Cic saw that thing on the side of the road coming home and I didn’t believe her. She swore it was a badger and I kept thinking “crazy woman – it was a raccoon or porcupine”

Damn hell if it wasn’t a badger and you were the one who killed it!

    My wife knows her wildlife.

  3. No that was the Suncrest badger. We hit this thing about a mile from the renegade point launch ramp at Strawberry.

  4. what, no badger-skin hat?

  5. Badgers? We don’t need no stinking badgers!
